David was inspired to become an entrepreneur by his diabetes educator, Cecelia, who worked with him shortly after he was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes at the age of 36. He decided in 2008 to leave his job at Microsoft and launch a business that would deliver the kind of help she gave him to hundreds of thousands of people across the country by leveraging telehealth technology.
The novel coronavirus pandemic has exponentially grown demand and market opportunity for telehealth. David’s strong leadership, innovative nature, and compassionate desire to bring virtual care solutions and tech-enabled coaching to impacted populations has helped our business overcome obstacles and achieve the scale needed to make a true and lasting impact.
David’s vision to bring world class, personalized diabetes care to everyone who needs it across the globe is one step closer thanks to the recent announcement of the Cecelia Health Virtual Diabetes Clinic. This innovative solution will offer CGM training, education on medication adherence and lifestyle and behavior change, mental health screening and counseling, all supported by algorithms that will recommend necessary dosage and titration changes that will be reviewed and approved by Cecelia Health’s Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialists and Endocrinologists.
