Emmie is a registered dietitian and certified diabetes educator. She has experience working in diabetes, weight management, and preventative/holistic health. She completed her bachelors in Food and Nutrition at Montana State University, Bozeman. She completed her internship at the first accredited program in the country. She has a diverse background and has worked as a diabetes educator in corporate wellness, a dietitian in a cardiac hospital, and has her own business specializing in weight loss, energy and performance, and youthful aging.
Emmie was interested in getting certified as a diabetes educator after her father was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes. She has since worked with hundreds of people on behavioral goal setting, medications, stress, exercise, risk reduction, prevention, and weight management. In addition, she has completed several trainings on enhancing her knowledge with diabetes and nutrition.
Emmie also has experience working with children and adults with diabetes and pre-diabetes. She also has experience working with athletes who have diabetes, and has helped them maintain an active lifestyle. She is active herself and has competed in a marathon, 1/2 iron man, and century ride.
Emmie enjoys helping people reach their fullest potential; reduce the risks for complications, and develop positive habits that last a lifetime. She is excited to be a part of the Fit4D team to help motivate people to make realistic changes.
