Annie Fanberg, MS, RD, CDCES

Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist

So much of diabetes self-management is the patient’s responsibility. But they often need support, motivation, and guidance to reach their goals. That is where the diabetes educator comes in. That is where we can make a difference.
Annie Fanberg

Annie Fanberg is a Registered Dietitian and Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist with a Master of Science degree in nutrition. She brings counseling experience to the Cecelia Health team.

Annie spent the first five years of her career providing diabetes and nutrition education for a Native American tribe, while also serving as the Women, Infants and Children (WIC) Coordinator.  Over the last ten years, she has worked in an outpatient diabetes clinic providing one-on-one counseling, teaching group classes and leading shared medical appointments.  While her primary focus has always been on prediabetes, Type 2 diabetes, and gestational diabetes, she also has extensive nutrition experience with weight management and cardiovascular disease.  In addition, Annie has spent many years working as a consulting dietitian for an inpatient drug and alcohol recovery center where she provides all of the nutrition education classes and oversees menu planning for the facility.

Annie is very passionate about helping individuals with diabetes.  She believes in an individualized approach to focus on the issues or concerns each patient is ready to take on.   Her goal is to empower patients to take an active role in their diabetes management.

Annie is proud to be a part of the Cecelia Health team and its innovative approach to helping individuals with diabetes improve their overall health and well-being.
